Somerset —

Somerset Mayor Eddie Girdler will deliver an address detailing the state of the city and where city officials plan to take it in the next year during this month’s Somerset-Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce luncheon.

Girdler is expected to join the chamber to review city accomplishments from the past year, outline future goals and objectives for the city, and bring attention to issues important to the region and business community.

“This luncheon is a wonderful opportunity for members of the business community to come together with (c)ity leadership and discuss how we can all work together to enhance … Somerset,” stated chamber of commerce executive director Bobby Clue.

The mayor is also expected to detail the city’s business performance, public safety and sustainability initiatives during his address.

Attendees will be given the opportunity to converse directly with Girdler during a Q&A opportunity after the address.

The address is scheduled for 12 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, at The Center for Rural Development.

Cost to attend is $11 for chamber members.
