SOMERSET, KY – Holiday spirit was out in full force this past week as close to 300 guests attended the Somerset-Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce annual Holiday Auction at the Center for Rural Development.
“It was another outstanding event,” said Somerset-Pulaski Chamber President Chris Girdler. “Every year we raise the bar higher and this year was extraordinary.”
During a 60-minute live auction sponsored by Ford Brothers Auctioneers, those present raised just over $10,000 to support local high school students.
“This is a very special event where we auction off dozens of beautiful Christmas wreaths from businesses across Pulaski County,” said Bobby Clue, Chamber of Commerce Executive Director. “Over the past five years, we have raised over $45,000 through our Holiday Auction with all proceeds going toward scholarships at Somerset Community College for local High School students.”
