SOMERSET, KY – Holiday spirit was out in full force this past Tuesday as more than 300 guests attended the Somerset-Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce annual Holiday Auction at the Center for Rural Development.
“It was another outstanding event,” said Somerset-Pulaski Chamber President Leah Taylor. “Every year we raise the bar higher and this year was extraordinary.”
During a 60-minute live auction sponsored by Ford Brothers Auctioneers, those present raised just over $10,000 to support local high school students.
“This is a very special event where we auction off dozens of beautiful Christmas wreaths from businesses across Pulaski County,” said Bobby Clue, Chamber of Commerce Executive Director. “We will also be auctioning off center pieces, table toppers and will be conducting a silent auction during the luncheon.”
Proceeds from the Wreath Auction will go toward scholarships at Somerset Community College for local High School students.
