Christmas officially arrives in Somerset on Saturday, December 7th with a long agenda of festivities centered in the downtown area.
The Somerset-Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce is once again hosting the annual Christmas Parade. This year’s parade will be held on Saturday, December 7th at 5:00 p.m. and will be immediately followed by the Downtown Somerset Development Corporation Tree Lighting Celebration. At the same time, the downtown area will be engulfed in an atmosphere of Christmas foods, craft vendors, music and holiday spirit. The theme will be “Christmas in Kentucky”
“To make this event successful, we need the community’s help,” said Bobby Clue, Pulaski Chamber of Commerce Executive Director. “We encourage everyone to get involved and help the Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade be the biggest and best ever.” The day of activity is sponsored by the Somerset-Pulaski Co. Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Somerset Development Corporation, Somerset-Pulaski Co. Convention & Visitors Bureau, Pulaski Co. Public Library, Pulaski County Fiscal Court and the City of Somerset who are working together to bring Pulaski County citizens our best Christmas Extravaganza ever.
