Welcome to The Mole Hole of Somerset. The Mole Hole’s history is as magical as the tale that inspired the store’s name. Jack Harris, a former school teacher, opened the first store in Michigan in an underground shop beneath the local general store. Inspired by Mr. Mole’s house in the children’s story, “Wind in the Willows,” so beget the name THE MOLE HOLE. How appropriate given the store’s first location! This small shop was the first of 100 of the finest gift shops in the country. The store’s focus on charm, service, and quality gifts is still recognized today!
The Mole Hole of Somerset opened its doors in 1995. Since its inception, the store has carried an extensive variety of beautiful, unique gifts. Leah Taylor, owner of The Mole Hole of Somerset, strives to find and bring the finest and most unique gifts to the store. She is very committed to her customers. The Mole Hole of Somerset offers the finest gifts in the area such as Lampe Berger, Wee Forest Folk, Pick Up Sticks Jewelry, Vera Bradley and so much more!
