CHAMBER AFTER HOURS EVENT
You’re cordially invited to attend our upcoming Business After Hours event on Tuesday, May 7th.
American prisons and jails hold over 2.1 million individuals at any given time and almost every one of these individuals will return to their community once they have been found innocent or complete the sentence imposed for their unlawful conduct.
This amounts to 10 million individuals returning home to their communities from state and federal prisons and local jails each year. For our justice system to succeed in achieving its goal of increased public safety, it must take steps to ensure that these individuals are able to become successful and contributing members of their community.
The Pulaski County Detention Center’s inmate re-entry program has become a model for the rest of Kentucky to follow.
On Tuesday, May 7, the Pulaski County Detention Center will officially take ownership of the warehouse where inmates receive essential technical and soft skills training that sets them up for success upon release.
Join us for a special Chamber Business After Hours at 5:30pm as SPEDA transfers ownership of a warehouse at 82 Thannoli Drive to the jail to continue this life-changing program.
We will have a short ceremony at the warehouse, tours, and refreshments.
Grab a bite to eat, take a tour of the new facility and learn more about the importance of this program.
There is no charge to attend.
