SUMMARY:Meet The Artist Vendor Event and Community Fun
DESCRIPTION:If you are a local artist or author\, we would like to invite you to come set up with us in our parking lot as a vendor. All vendor spots will be a reasonable $10.00 per artist. You can bring your artwork to sale and demonstrate your skill no matter your medium.\n\nWe want this to be a time of coming together to get to know each other and to allow the community to get to know us.\nAs a vendor you will need to bring your own table and chairs. Please try to RSVP by contacting either myself or Jessica Wiles.\n\nIf you are a community patron\, we will be charging a $20.00 entrance fee. This price will include:\nAccess to meet and greet local artists and authors in the community.\nA paint session of 2 hours where you get to paint your own picture. We will provide all the materials and you will get to take it home with you.\n\nWe will also have a summer meal planned of hot dogs\, chips\, and a drink.\n\nPrice will also include\, 5 door prize tickets which we will hold a door prize drawing every 30 minutes for $5.00 in LCAA store bucks that can be used in our gallery. At the end of the evening we will have a drawing for a special door prize.\nTickets for a 50/50 drawing can be purchased at $1.00 per ticket. We will split the pot at the end of the evening with the winner.\n\nShare with your friends and come out for fun in the sun.\n\nAll revenues that we make will go right back into our art center to help pay rent to keep the doors open\, help us with the expenses of fully becoming a 501c3 non profit\, and buying materials to keep our doors open. Nobody in our facility makes a profit. We all do this for free as we want to bring art and the community together to make it affordable to all individuals no matter their stature.

Summer Theater Camp. This day camp will last for two weeks and is designed for school-age (12-18 years old) students that are looking to take a step toward the world of performing or developing their craft in theater. \nTaught by Flashback Theater Co. (FbTC) theater artists\, Thomas Alvey and Billy Christopher Maupin\, this camp is for students aged 12-18 and will take place June 6th through the 17th\, Monday through Friday\, with daily check-in at 8:45 a.m. and parent pick-up at 4:15 p.m. (eastern).\nStudents can bring their own lunch or can pre-pay for catered lunch. \nThe two-week camp will be $450\, but if students prefer one week of camp\, the cost will be $225. Sign up by May 13 for an early bird rate of $400.

DESCRIPTION:Attention Current\, Potential\, and Former members of the Somerset Junior Woman’s Club…\n\nThe 2022 SJWC Membership Banquet and Officer & New Member Installation will be held Monday\, June 6th beginning at 6:00pm at Woodstock Lavender Company on Highway 39. The cost to attend is $20 per person. Please RSVP for yourself and any guest you might bring no later than May 31st.\n\nWe will have wonderful lavender-infused food and get the opportunity to cut some fresh lavender to take home. This is also when we will install 2022-23 officers and new members\, plus reveal the winner of our Clubwoman of the Year Award. And\, there will be some other fun surprises!\n\nAll current members are encouraged to attend and to feel free to bring a guest (mother\, sister\, friend\, daughter\, etc.) for the evening. This is also a great time for potential members to join us for and event to see what we are all about AND for former members to come for a visit or to rejoin.\n\nWe are having an exceptional year and plan to celebrate!! DESCRIPTION:You’re cordially invited to attend our upcoming Chamber of Commerce monthly luncheon on Tuesday\, June 7th. \nWe are excited to host Rubicon Global CEO\, Nate Morris as our guest speaker. \nNot long after graduation\, Morris set his sights on bringing change to one of the toughest industries in the world: waste and recycling. An industrial sector historically riddled with organized crime\, it has remained essentially unchanged since the time of the Romans. \nNate Morris is leading a technology revolution in the waste and recycling sector and is rekindling hope that lasting change and progress can be achieved in the global environmental movement. \n  \nMorris is a ninth-generation Kentuckian. Morris was born in Lexington and raised by a single mother and brought up in a working class home. One of his early role models was his grandfather\, a long-time union leader at the local Ford assembly plant. \nMorris attended George Washington University. Throughout his years at George Washington\, Morris carried a full course load and worked in government\, serving senators\, members of Congress\, and the Department of Homeland Security in the White House. After graduation\, Morris attended Princeton University’s School of Public and International Affairs. \nLunch will be held at The Center for Rural Development and will begin at 12:00 (Noon).
