DESCRIPTION:This marks the fourth year of the annual Called Conference in Somerset.\n\nOur theme of this year’s conference is Called to Worship. The event will be held at The Center for Rural Development on Saturday\, September 7th\, and will feature Christian Contemporary Band\, Leeland. Leeland is a 4 Grammy-nominated band as well as an 8 Dove Award nominee and sings hits like Waymaker and Lion and the Lamb. The focus of this conference is to bring together the women of Pulaski Co. and surrounding areas to share in a night of worship through song and praise.\n\nThis year’s conference is also doubling as a benefit for Raina Simpson\, who recently finished her battle with cancer has been united with her Lord\, and is rejoicing in Heaven. She has exemplified the meaning of praising God in the middle of the storm. So\, the Called Committee has decided a portion of the ticket proceeds will benefit the Simpson family in a manner of their choosing.\n\nWe are praying that you and the women of your church family would consider joining us on September 7th for a night of Worship and Fellowship and EVERY SEAT will be filled. DESCRIPTION:Operation UNITE is hosting one of seven regional “Empowering the Next Generation” youth rallies on Tuesday\, Sept. 17\, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at The Center for Rural Development. \nAll sixth-grade students within UNITE’s 33-county service region are invited to attend. The youth rally will feature an interactive keynote presentation from Youth to Youth International on the power of making the right choices in life. \nIn addition\, the event will: \n\nInspire and invigorate youth to join an existing UNITE Club or to start a new UNITE Club at their school. These clubs provide skills in leadership\, citizenship\, and resistance to negative peer pressure.\nProvide students an overview of UNITE’s summer initiatives\, such as Camp UNITE and Shoot Hoops Not Drugs camps.\n\nOperation UNITE is a collaborative model striving to prevent abuse of drugs and facilitate recovery. The non-profit organization creates strategic partnerships\, provides leadership\, promotes education\, coordinates treatment\, and supports law enforcement.
