DESCRIPTION:The City of Somerset Parks & Recreation Department will be conducting a golf scramble to benefit the local Operation Angel Care Program. All the proceeds from this scramble will go toward providing for families in need at Christmas. The cost of the scramble is $320 per four member team. This cost includes 18 holes of golf\, golf cart\, lunch\, and prizes/contests. DESCRIPTION:Somerset’s first art market was such a great success that they are hosting another — but this time\, with a midsummer night’s vibe! The park will be filled with the sights\, sounds and tastes of summer — local and regional art vendors will fill tents with their wares while market-goers enjoy the instrumental sounds of the Somerset Big Band\, violinist Lucy McArthur and drum soloist Bradley Shane Gilmore. We’ll also host an online auction for pieces created during our Foodstock and Juneteenth festivals\, and these works will be on display during the event. Proceeds from the auction will go to our #seemyset Art Fund\, which supports art initiatives in the city. Food trucks will also be on-site throughout the evening. This free\, family-friendly event will be held rain or shine\, so mark your calendars now to join us at Rocky Hollow Park on Aug. 14.
