The kids\nwill also join together to do a group project every month that they can work on together.\nThen every 3 months\, we will host a Kid’s Craft Show for them to display and/or sell\ntheir art if they so choose. We will make it very special for them and allow them to invite\ntheir family\, friends\, and the community. \nAll ages are welcome to come. However\, children 7 and under must have adult\nsupervision. All children must have a parent or guardian sign a release form. There will\nbe a small fee of $50.00 a month (which can be broken down into weekly payments if\nneeded upon request. There will be a 25% discount on fees for Association Members\nand Volunteers. Plus\, we will use a sliding scale for families with multiple children). DESCRIPTION:Facebook Live Pour Painting Demo with Ashley Epperson\nWEDNESDAY\, MARCH 30\, 2022 AT 2 PM – 3 PM \nLCAA: Lake Cumberland Art Association \n211 South Main Street\nSomerset\, Kentucky 42501 \nCome join us live as we do something that we have not done yet. Ashley\nEpperson has agreed to come do some of her pour paintings live in our\nstudio every Wednesday. We will be videotaping her live as she\ndemonstrates her techniques and the types of paint and colors that she is\nusing. We will see her success as she pours them and get to cheer her on.\nFor Ashley\, this is stepping out of her comfort zone as she has never\npainted live in front of an audience but she is willing to share her artistic\ntalent with the world and give pointers on the things she has learned along\nthe way of how she has gotten some of her paintings done.\nIf you would like to watch her more personally\, then you are welcome to\ncome into the studio for a $5.00 charge where it can be more interactive\nand you are free to ask her questions along with being more involved in the\nprocess.\nAll revenues will go into the store to help us buy products for the store and\nto help us pay the bills. None of our volunteers receive payment for their\nservices. Ashley will be doing this for the love of art and to help others\nbenefit from what she has learned. \nHowever\, the finished product will go for sale in the gallery after it dries and\nis. sealed. When it is sold\, it will go on her wall that is commissioned and\nshe will make a percent of the sold painting.\nWe hope to have many of you tune in for these broad casts. It is our goal to\nhave them every Wednesday so be watching for them in the event section\nand every Wednesday after noon in our newsfeed live at 2:00pm.

DESCRIPTION:Poetry and Painting: Open Mic Day\nSaturday\, March 26\, 2021 (1:00 PM – 6:00 PM)\nLCAA: Lake Cumberland Art Association \n211 South Main Street\nSomerset\, Kentucky 42501 \nCome join us for a day of fun and relaxation as we bring two mediums of art together in\none major event. Poetry and Painting. If you are a poet and want to have your poetry\nheard\, then this is your chance to find your voice. We are encouraging poets to come\nout and read their poetry while others paint on canvas. All will be given a canvas and\nhave the opportunity to paint or read their poetry.\nJoining us at this event will be published author\, poet and writer John Colyer. It will be\nour privilege to have him with us at this event to read and entertain us. While he is here\,\nif you are a poet and interested in getting your work published\, he would gladly speak to\nyou about that as well.\nWe will also be serving food for this event. You will get a chicken nugget meal with tater\nwedges\, and a drink. Because we are furnishing a meal\, we do ask all those who plan\non attending this event to RSVP.\nThe cost of this event will be $10.00 per person. Each individual will get 5 tickets when\npaying which will be used for a drawing every. 30 minutes for $5.00 in store gift bucks to\nbe used to purchase unique gifts within the store. At the end of the evening\, we will\nhave a grand prize drawing for a special gift.\nWe will also be selling tickets for $1.00 a piece for a 50/50 drawing at the end of the\nnight. You must be present to win all drawings.\nAll revenues made go back into the store to help buy materials and to help keep the\ndoors open. Volunteers do not receive any payment. They all do it for the love of art to\nmake art affordable to the entire community.

Sponsored by the Somerset/Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce & Burnside Tourism. \nThe Chamber invites you to attend the 10th Annual Chamber of Commerce Shamrock Shuffle 5K run/walk that will take place on Saturday\, March 12th. \nCome out for a day of fun and racing in the Pulaski County area as we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day…Lake Cumberland Style!!!  Yes\, this year’s race will be live-and-in-person …with a few minor changes. \nIn order to observe proper social distancing\, this year’s race will have staggered start times.  Participants will choice their start time during the online registration process. \nBasically\, we will have small groups taking off instead of all 700+ runners at the same time. Because the race has professional chip timing\, it will not matter when you race everyone will get a chip time based on exactly when they start and exactly when they finish. \nThe Shamrock Shuffle welcomes participants of all ability levels\, from runners who are beginning their annual running and fitness regimen to seasoned veterans.
