DESCRIPTION:You are invited to a Veterans Day Celebration & Special Unveiling at 10:30 a.m. Monday\, Nov. 11 (Veterans Day) at Somerset Veterans Memorial Park\, on the corner of Oak and Main Streets in downtown Somerset. \nWe will honor our service men and women with special remarks from: \n• Congressman Hal Rogers \n• Somerset Mayor Alan Keck \n• Horse Soldier Bourbon President Scott Neil \n• First & Farmers National Bank President & CEO Terry Pugh \nDuring this service\, we will unveil Somerset Veterans Memorial Park’s centerpiece\, an M109 American 155MM Howitzer donated to our community through the U.S. Army Donations Program from Camp Johnson in Vermont. The M109 is an artillery piece that has served in many global conflicts and military engagements\, including the Vietnam\, Persian Gulf and Iraq wars. \nIn case of inclement weather\, the ceremony will be held inside the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
