SUMMARY:First Aid & Heartsaver CPR & AED Training
DESCRIPTION:Do you need basic first-aid training or CPR-AED training? \nThe Center for Rural Development’s Business & Community Training Center is providing instructor-led training in both basic first-aid and CPR-AED on Thursday\, Aug. 4\, taught by the Somerset-Pulaski County EMS. \nBasic First Aid\n8:30 a.m.-noon\nEmergencies can happen anytime\, anywhere. Would you know what to do in the event of a medical emergency? The Basic First Aid training course will teach participants how to recognize emergencies\, know when to call for help\, and perform basic life-saving skills. \nHeartSaver CPR and AED\n1 p.m.-4:30 p.m.\nIt has been proven that if more people knew how to perform CPR and use an AED device\, the chance of survival improves substantially. Students will learn how to perform CPR and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe\, timely\, and effective manner. \nWho should attend these classes?\nBoth training courses are designed for people with limited or no medical training and need first aid or CPR training to meet job\, regulatory\, or other requirements. \nWhat does it cost to register?\nRegistration is $69 per person for each course or $129 per person for both courses.
