By identifying the location of current video surveillance cameras throughout Pulaski County, crimes can be solved at a higher rate of speed by local police agencies. Security cameras are known to be one of the best tools that police have available to them when they’re seeking to investigate cases. Law enforcement has used cameras to help solve crimes ranging from drunk driving to kidnapping and murder. Enrolling your camera not only helps deter crime, but assists our local police departments in their overall crime prevention strategy in our neighborhoods. Enrollment Enrolling is simple and only takes about 10 minutes to complete the steps. You will provide basic information and tell us where your cameras are located. You’re cordially invited to attend our upcoming Chamber of Commerce monthly luncheon on Tuesday, October 6th. We are excited to host President of the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education, Dr. Aaron Thompson as our guest speaker. Dr. Aaron Thompson is a passionate advocate for higher education. As a first-generation college student from rural Clay County, Kentucky, he experienced first-hand the transformative power of a college credential. As President of the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education, he works to ensure all Kentuckians have an equal opportunity to improve their lives through postsecondary education. Before taking the helm of CPE, Thompson served as interim president of Kentucky State University and as executive vice president, provost, and faculty member at Eastern Kentucky University. He has extensive leadership experience within the private and non-profit sectors and is a highly sought-after national speaker. Dr. Thompson has authored or co-authored numerous books and peer-reviewed publications on diversity, cultural competence, first-year experience programs, retention, and student success, among other topics. In 2019, he was inducted into the Kentucky Civil Rights Hall of Fame. Lunch will be held at The Center for Rural Development and will begin at 12:00 (Noon).
