The Shepherds Watch is a groundbreaking program that has been implemented to help deter crime and assist our local police agencies solve crimes more quickly by partnering with our local community. When a crime is committed …. time is of the essence. The longer a crime goes unsolved, the higher the chance it stays unsolved. By identifying the location of current video surveillance cameras throughout Pulaski County, crimes can be solved at a higher rate of speed by local police agencies. Security cameras are known to be one of the best tools that police have available to them when they’re seeking to investigate cases. Law enforcement has used cameras to help solve crimes ranging from drunk driving to kidnapping and murder. Enrolling your camera not only helps deter crime, but assists our local police departments in their overall crime prevention strategy in our neighborhoods. Enrollment Enrolling is simple and only takes about 10 minutes to complete the steps. You will provide basic information and tell us where your cameras are located. There is no cost associated with enrolling and is completely voluntary. November 3rd Chamber of Commerce Monthly Luncheon

You’re cordially invited to attend our upcoming Chamber of Commerce monthly luncheon on Tuesday, November 3rd. We are excited to host Kentucky Commissioner of Agriculture, Dr. Ryan Quarles as our guest speaker. Dr. Ryan F. Quarles serves as Kentucky’s Commissioner of Agriculture. First elected to that position in 2015, he was re-elected in 2019, winning 117 of 120 counties. Under his leadership, the Kentucky Department of Agriculture (KDA) started several new programs, including initiatives to combat hunger and connect Kentucky farmers to new markets. Dr. Quarles’s outspoken advocacy for farmers has been recognized on the regional and national level. He serves as Vice President of the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA), president of the Southern Association of State Departments of Agriculture (SASDA). Dr. Quarles graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2006 with three undergraduate majors and two graduate degrees. In 2008, he was awarded a full scholarship to Harvard University and graduated with a Master’s degree in higher education. He returned to Kentucky in 2010 to complete his legal education at the University of Kentucky. Quarles received his doctorate in higher education from Vanderbilt University in 2018.
