Active shooter incidents are unpredictable and evolve quickly. While it is unlikely that you will ever be involved in an active shooter incident, your chances for survival are best if you are prepared for the worst.

Because active shooter situations are often over before law enforcement arrives on the scene, individuals must be prepared both mentally and physically to deal with an active shooter situation. In most cases, active shooters use guns and there is no pattern or method to their selection of victims.

The Somerset-Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce would like to invite you to attend our upcoming Active Shooter Preparedness Training on Thursday, August 23rd.

The training will be held at Somerset High School in the W.B. Jones Auditorium and will begin at 5:30 p.m.

At this session, you will learn what you need to do to prepare and empower yourself and others around you to actively participating in your own survival.  While there are no guarantees, this training will greatly increase your odds of survival should you face this type of situation.

This event is free to attend and seating will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. For more information, please contact the Chamber at 606-679-7323.
